What are binaural beats?

When you hear a different tone in each ear, with a slight difference in frequency, your brain processes the disparity. This phenomenon is known as a binaural beat.

As your brain engages with binaural beats, it gradually synchronizes with the frequency difference. In essence, the brain assimilates the hypnosis recording into its own rhythm.

Numerous reports and studies have linked binaural beats to potential health benefits.

How does the hypnosis recording help with my issue?

In the self-hypnosis recording, Mel has incorporated targeted suggestions to reshape your mindset regarding your specific issue. This approach is rooted in scientific understanding, recognising that repetitive conscious actions are crucial before the brain integrates them into the subconscious.

Initiating changes in your physical life relies on cultivating a shift in mindset. Through consistently reinforcing these suggestions during vulnerable moments, like during hypnosis, your mind will assimilate them as your own thoughts over time. This gradual process embeds these thoughts into your subconscious, profoundly influencing your actions and propelling you towards the attainment of your desired goals.

What’s the difference between the standard and the personalised hypnosis recording?

The standard hypnosis recording comprehensively addresses common issues associated with disordered eating behaviours, such as overeating, cravings for sweets or junk food, and challenges with excess weight. However, it is not recommended for individuals who are underweight or at a healthy weight, as the recording includes suggestions that encourage appetite suppression.

On the other hand, the personalised hypnosis recording is crafted to meet your specific needs. Whether you are underweight, seeking a more potent recording, or are struggling with any other cognitive challenges such as fears or limiting beliefs, this option is ideal for you. In addition to addressing your current struggles, the personalised recording incorporates elements of your life—such as things that bring you joy, activities you enjoy, and your aspirations—to stimulate a positive change in your mindset. The familiar suggestions in the recording also work to minimise any resistance to the proposed changes, enhancing its overall effectiveness.

Regardless of your choice, both recordings are designed to complement your existing recovery or aspirational goals. They serve as a proactive step in your journey towards your desired outcomes.

Can anyone use the hypnosis recordings?

The Standard hypnosis recording is not recommended for individuals who are underweight or at a healthy weight. This is because the recording includes suggestions aimed at decreasing appetite. If you are dealing with eating disorders such as bulimia or anorexia, it is advisable to choose either the personalised hypnosis recording or one of Insatiable Mel’s 1:1 services.

Moreover, it is essential to be at least 18 years old to purchase any Insatiable Mel products. This age restriction applies universally to all products and services.

Am I going to be aware of what I’m doing?

Absolutely! In reality, it’s quite the opposite. Hypnosis involves a heightened sense of awareness. It taps into the subconscious mind, which influences 95% of our behaviours. During hypnosis, it’s akin to situations like watching TV or driving a car, where you maintain full control and awareness, yet the subconscious is actively engaged. Even if you happen to fall asleep during the process, the subconscious mind continues to absorb the suggestions in the recording. You’ll naturally wake up when you’re ready, and the positive impact on the subconscious persists.

Will I be able to control what I’m doing?

Yes of course! You can stop it anytime! It’s NOT like television shows. Hypnosis is NOT about someone or something taking control over you. It’s a collaboration between the hypnotherapist and the client. The more the client wants to collaborate, the more impactful the changes will be. You’ll remain fully aware of what is happening around you. However, the more you relax, the more effective the hypnosis transformation will be. Supercharge the process by truly BELIEVING it works!

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

NO! That’s a myth. If the suggestions in the hypnotherapy sessions don’t align with your true values, the hypnosis won’t stick. Hypnosis only works if you really want the change. The only things that will stick are your goals you want to achieve.

What does hypnosis feel like?

It varies with every person. Generally, it is a feeling of deep relaxation and ease. However, what you feel while you’re listening to your recording is NOT any indication of how effective it is. Some people feel completely awake! No matter how you feel while listening to your recording, it WORKS!

How long is the hypnosis recording?

Both the Standard and the Personalised recording is between 20-25 minutes long. Before you listen to your recording for the first time, there is a ONE-time obligatory 15-minute preparation.

Is it a problem if I fall asleep while listening to the recording?

The subconscious mind remains active during sleep, ensuring the impact persists. However, to enhance the effectiveness of hypnosis, it’s recommended to vary the listening experience by conducting some sessions while you’re awake. The key is to ensure that you listen to the recording in a setting where you won’t be disturbed. Avoid listening in the midst of distractions, such as kids running around or a television playing loudly. Creating a quiet and focused environment will contribute to a more effective hypnosis experience.

How long do I have to listen to the recording for?

To bring about significant changes in your behaviour, repetition is key. While there isn’t a specific number of times set in stone, it’s crucial to listen to the recording consistently for at least 30 consecutive days without interruption to ensure its effectiveness.

Once you’ve completed the initial 30 days and gained confidence, you can gradually reduce the frequency to once a day, and eventually cease altogether once you’ve achieved your desired results.

For optimal results, it’s recommended to listen to the recording twice a day—just before waking up and just before going to sleep. Of these two sessions, at least one should be done while you are fully conscious, not asleep. This approach will contribute to maximising the positive impact of the hypnosis recording.

When will I notice the changes?

The pace of changes can differ among individuals. Some may experience shifts in their behaviours within a few days, while for others, changes may be more gradual and cumulative over time.

Consistency is key when establishing new habits and seeking behavioural change. This underscores the importance of listening to your recording every single day without fail to ensure maximum effectiveness. The daily routine helps reinforce positive suggestions and facilitates the integration of these changes into your subconscious mind, contributing to the overall success of the hypnosis process.
