Is Junk Food Really Bad?

During my battle with back to back addictions, including binge eating, after 22 years I discovered that all diets are a gateway to eating disorders.

 

Throughout the years whilst I was suffering from an eating disorder, whether it was binge eating, bulimia or anorexia, I was constantly dieting.

Even though I LOVED Chinese food, it would always scare the veggie beanies outta me!

Of course it took me over 22 years of yo-yo dieting; trying every diet under the sun from Weight Watchers with their super small portion control, to Slimming World with their coloured days, to alkaline diet to Atkins diet and SO MANY more FAILED diets to realise that NO FOOD, even crap food should EVER be prohibited!


I learned that labelling things like, carbs, ketosis, alkaline, junk food, naughty, low fat, no sugar or even healthy, optimum, good for you blah blah blah only did ONE thing for me…

Labelling Food Turned Into A Food Addiction!

No, it didn’t make me more aware of the good things I SHOULD eat…


And NO, it didn’t make me more aware of the bad things I SHOULDN’T eat…


It didn’t even make me feel in CONTROL… which is one of the main causes of eating disorders i.e. the need to control their environment.

Why???


COZ labelling the food, as ‘whatever’ made me OBSESS over FOOD 24/7 instead!

I’d either be calculating whether I had enough points left for ONE biscuit at the end of the day…

OR I couldn’t wait until tomorrow so that I could eat my pasta as I wasn’t allowed carbs today!…


OR I couldn’t wait until Friday as it was my “CHEAT” day!

Being on back to back diets constantly… was EXHAUSTING!!!

 

I was always chasing a day where I didn’t have to stick to the macros!!!

No More Dieting!

I’m sooooooo glad that DIETING is now a thing of the past… after discovering that ALL diets are bull$hit and now I know I’ll NEVER have to diet again!



Compounded by my healthy lifestyle and free from binge eating and food addictions, I can TRULY enjoy eating Chinese food but this time, MINUS the guilt!


I’m now the girl EVERYONE looks at and says, “How come she can EAT ANYTHING she wants and still NOT put on weight?!!”

Well, it hasn’t ALWAYS been like that…


I’ve been there, my weight fluctuated like Oprah…

My secret? 

Well, I realised that I was only a mindset away from NEVER EVER dieting again! WITHOUT willpower!!!



I just had to realise that dieting was like a prison. It was also the gateway to eating disorders. 

And the ONLY way to STOP the fear with food was to STOP labelling everything I ate.
